| I consider a full breather car to have 3" exhaust, dual pop, 2.5" IC's and 2.5" IC/Inlet piping and manifolds. The TB's were always assumed to increase power but there was never any real data on them. I know of a 3071(maybe 3076 I forget) turbo car that did before and after pulls with some prototype 63mm and there were maybe 5hp gains tops in a handful of areas. Those are big turbos and moving a lot of air so the gains would be more pronounced on a set up like that. I'm also not 100% sure if he went from stock or 58mm Z1 or all 3 but I do know he said the gains were negligible. Hint: There is a reason Rob'Z 63mm TB's never went into production... After I had my Z tuned at SZ I had Greg overlay Evan Wright's and Adam's graphs with mine. They both have basically my same set up with a couple differences, they both had MSP's with z1's, Evan W. didn't have 2.5" inlets but Adam did. There peak hp/tq were less than ~10 more than mine but they got into the power sooner and held it longer. Gains that have definitely convinced me to buy MSP's if I ever have to pull my engine. I've held both stock manis and MSP's in my hands and you can tell there would be significant gains from them even without seeing all the dyno charts I have. I have to assume that most of the gains were from the manifolds and not the TB's. There might be some gains to be had from larger TB's but they are so miniscule that it's really not worth the cost and hassle.
